Soccer

Improving soccer performance requires the three main systems: Visual System, Vestibular (Balance) System, and Proprioceptive (Movement) System to each function well and to work together.
Visual System
Vision is the dominant sense for soccer and most sports. Soccer is a sport of constant motion, learning and developing peripheral vision awareness, tracking of the ball, improved reaction time and concentration will lead to higher performance in the game. Research has shown that improving vision helps to avoid collision and therefore concussions and injury.
Sports Vision Training improves:
  • Awareness of the ball, other players, boundaries and goal (peripheral vision)
  • Connecting passes or leading teammates (depth perception)
  • Reaction time to opponents’ moves
  • Timing in connecting with passes
  • Shooting accuracy (dynamic visual acuity)
  • Decision making
  • Concentration in high pressure situations
  • Coordination and balance
  • Speed and agility
